The ULI Asia Pacific Office Product Council preview meeting held on 6 April 2022 was a success, with over 50 participants in attendance and co-chaired by Paul Edwards, general manager, Strategy & Customer, Integrated Investment Portfolio, Mirvac, and Yiwen Yang, senior vice president, Portfolio Management, Brookfield. This lively discussion provided an open forum that captured the ideas and topics this committee will dive into when it officially commences as of 1 July 2022, with the first meeting scheduled for August 2022, aligned with the 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Summit in Hong Kong.

Meeting two to four times per year, these multidisciplinary senior industry leaders will gather virtually or in-person in closed-door sessions to share best practices and discuss issues affecting the wider industry in relation to the office sector.

A poll was taken based on some of the key themes to be discussed during the meeting and the focus areas of the council will include but would not be limited to:

1. What’s Next: Future Trends and Opportunities (79 percent)
2. Sustainability (67 percent)
3. The Purpose of the Office (52 percent)
4. Digital Disruption (48 percent)
5. Changing Demographics (27 percent)
6. Office Management (12 percent)
