For members in Hong Kong, we wanted to give a quick debrief of this week’s tour and discussion which was hosted by Goodman. We met with Edwin Hui, Head of Operations as well as Simon Chow, Senior Property Manager and our discussion touched on a number of topics including:

• The significance of the development given its size, the fact a project of this scale has not been developed in Hong Kong in more than 10 years, and the project’s green features including BEAM and LEED certification.
• The project’s strategic location and access to the container port, airport, and the border. We also touched on design features including the mix of ramp and non-ramp access units.
• Challenges in operating a facility of this nature including how to manage traffic flow, lift usage, and security.
• Leasing structure of the project including key tenants, terms, and fit-out requirements for logistics tenants. We also touched on the current state of the industrial market.
