HONG KONG / SINGAPORE (22 June, 2022) – Thirteen outstanding real estate development projects have been named as the winners of the 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence, one of the real estate industry’s most prestigious honours. This year’s winners include five projects in Australia, four in China, and one each from Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines and Singapore respectively.
The winning development projects, selected out of the 24 finalists in Asia Pacific this year, was announced virtually during the ULI Asia Pacific Awards of Excellence Virtual Ceremony on 21 June. Winners will also be automatically qualified as nominees of the 2022 ULI Global Awards for Excellence.
The 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence winners (in alphabetical order of project name with developers, owners and designers in parentheses where appropriate) are:

The ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence recognises the full development process of a project beyond just architecture or design. The jury evaluated projects and programmes on a wide range of criteria, based on the extent to which they:
“We are pleased to have gathered a rich pool of phenomenal project entries, which highlights the sector’s resilience with an innovative mindset in face of economic disruptions.” said Peter Holland, jury chair, and advisor to Cistri. “The entries we received have demonstrated an exceptional repertoire of the real estate experts involved and have injected a powerful stream of inspiration and innovation into the industry. The jury has selected thirteen outstanding projects from an extremely competitive ground of sixty-two submissions in total and looking forward to the future. We are certain that the heightening calibre of incoming submissions in the region will continue, thereby inspiring others within the industry.”
The international jury that selected the winning projects is compiled of leading ULI members representing multidisciplinary real estate expertise, including finance, commercial real estate, urban planning and development, design, architecture, and other professional services. In addition to Peter Holland, the 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence jury members across Asia Pacific were: Roger Nelson, managing director, NH Architecture; Joburt Betadam, director, Gensler; Albert Chan, director, Shui On Land; Fan Guo, principal and seds regional leader for asia pacific, Callison RTKL; Elizabeth Kok, director and senior advisor, Swire Properties; Chris Law, founding director, Oval Partnership; Gordon Hatton, vice president, head of development and delivery (Japan), Colt Data Centre Service; Ko Iwahori, managing partner, Acadia Capital; Sylvester Wong, vice president, AECOM; Dan Cerf, principal, Devinqi Advisors; Choon Fah Ong, member board of directors, Edmund Tie & Co; Siew Leng Fun, chief urban designer, Urban Redevelopment Authority; and Sang-Hun Yim, managing director, IGIS Asset Management.
