India’s CEPT University Wins 2025 ULI Hines Student Competition Asia Pacific
Winning proposal reimagines Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Waterfront as a model for sharing cities, where density drives innovation and inclusive urba

Hong Kong [28 May 2025] — Fourteen impressive developments from across Asia have been named winners of the 2025 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence, one of the real estate industry’s most prestigious honours. Announced at the 2025 ULI Asia Pacific Summit held on 28 May in Hong Kong, this year’s award winners include projects in Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, the Philippines, and Singapore.

These winning development project, selected out of 25 finalists in seven markets across Asia Pacific, were announced today at the 2025 ULI Asia Pacific Summit, which brought together over 500 decision makers to address current and future challenges facing the region’s built environment.
The winners (by location) are:

This year’s winners demonstrated exceptional practise in land use, particularly in terms of enriching community connections and enhancing livability. “The jury thoroughly enjoyed reviewing a total of 43 remarkable project entries, which represented the innovation and tremendous calibre of the region’s development sector,” said jury co-chairs Belinda Bentley, Managing Director, 9Springs, and Chris Law, Founding Director, Oval Partnership. “These winners have distinguished themselves by attaining a high standard of excellence across various disciplines, encompassing architecture, design, planning, construction, resiliency, economics, management, and sustainability. The winners inspire confidence that we will continue to see phenomenal projects emerge in Asia Pacific.”
The 2025 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence jury consisted of ULI members representing different disciplines, including experts in development, finance, planning, urban design, and futuristic architecture.
