Bloomingdale Trail: Work begins this summer to transform an abandoned 2.7-mile stretch of elevated railway into the Bloomingdale Trail, Chicago’s only pedestrian greenway and bike path running east to west. The trail will ultimately connect pedestrians and cyclists to trails that stretch all the way to the Indiana state line. Read more about Bloomingdale Trail at Urban Land.
Divvy Bikes: Divvy Bikes has added a new option to the Chicago bike rental scene. Designed as a transportation option, the bikes can be used to get around the city or for a short ride along the lakefront.
