    Emerging Trends in Real Estate® is an annual series of trends and forecast publications that reflect the views of leading real estate executives in three global regions – Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. Undertaken jointly by PwC and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), it provides an outlook on real estate investment and development trends, real estate finance and capital markets, property sectors, metropolitan areas and other real estate issues.

    Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Asia Pacific 2025 will be launched regionally during the weeks of 25 November to 6 December. In conjunction with the regional launch, ULI Australia is hosting an in-person event with PwC Australia at their Sydney office where we will share the key findings from our extensive research.

    Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management (Real Estate), Brookfield Asia Pacific

    Responsible for working with Brookfield’s local and global teams in overseeing portfolio management for Brookfield’s Australian core and core-plus real estate investment strategies, including fund and asset performance, return profile, and pursuit of acquisition and disposition opportunities.     Louise Kavanagh

    Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asia Pacific, Real Estate, Nuveen Real Estate

    Louise is a managing director for Nuveen Real Estate based in Hong Kong and works across the Asia Pacific region, she sits on the Asia Pacific Real Estate Leadership team and is an investment committee member. She is responsible for fund investment strategy and overall performance of assets, including day-to-day operations, acquisition analysis, asset management, client and reporting-related matters. Louise joined the firm in 2017 from Invesco Real Estate having been the fund manager for the Invesco Real Estate Asia Fund since its inception. Prior to joining Invesco Real Estate, she was a director at Deutsche Bank, RREEF Real Estate Asia Pacific. In her role as head of acquisitions and asset management for Asia Pacific, Louise was responsible for origination, due diligence and monitoring investments across the identified regional markets. Prior to this, she held a number of roles at Investa Property Group, Colonial First State Property and Royal Sun Alliance in Australia and Hong Kong. Louise graduated is a Bachelor’s of Commerce in Land Economy from University of Western Sydney and a Graduate diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. She serves as a Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), responsible for representing and serving as the voice of the broad and diverse membership in substantive matters facing ULI in the execution of its mission. Louise is also a committee member of LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development) a Nuveen industry affinity organization leading the dialogue on gender diversity.

    Marc Lucas

    Managing Director, 151 Property

    Marc is responsible for the oversight, management and performance of 151 Property Group’s real estate operations in Australia and New Zealand and has over 20-years in the real estate industry. Marc has experience in all facets of strategic real estate investment management with a focus on maximising the performance of stabilised and value add properties through proactive involvement in asset management, capital investment and acquisition / disposition activities. Marc received a Master’s in Property Development degree from University of Technology Sydney. He is a member of the national roundtable industrial and logistics committee for the Property Council of Australia (PCA). He also sits on the NSW Industrial and Logistics committee for the PCA.

    Head of Research, Pacific & ESG, Asia Pacific, CBRE

    Sameer is Head of Pacific Research. Sameer joined CBRE in 2021 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was head of Australian Research. Sameer has a Bachelors of Commerce (Hons) from the ANU and a MBA from Insead (France).

    Andrew is a member of the PwC Real Estate Advisory team, specialising in valuations and transaction advice having previously started his career in assurance 9 years ago. Andrew will be presenting the key findings from the 2024 Emerging Trends in Real Estate report.

    Partner, PwC

    Lauren is a Sydney-based Partner within our Financial Services Assurance practice, specialising in Real Estate and Asset Management. Her experience also includes working with large Australian corporates across a diverse range of industries including construction and engineering, logistics, government and health. Lauren’s career has focused on listed and unlisted company audits with large and complex structures across a number of domestic and international locations. With a passion for understanding her client’s business and needs, she delivers audits that prioritise the important issues, works with her clients to pragmatically solve problems and optimises the strength of her teams and technology to drive quality outcomes.
