Rushabh Desai
Chief Executive Officer
Allianz Real Estate Asia Pacific
Rush Desai heads the Asia-Pacific region at Allianz Real Estate. He is a voting member of the Allianz Real Estate Global Executive Committee, as well as the Allianz Real Estate Global Equity Investment Committee.
Rush is leading the expansion of Allianz Real Estate in the region. The main areas of focus include direct and indirect private real estate equity investments, as well as senior lending across key markets such as Japan, Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, India and Southeast Asia.
Rush joined Allianz Real Estate in 2016 bringing with him 13 years of diverse global experience. Prior to joining the company, he held different positions at GE Capital Real Estate Asia-Pacific, where he increased leadership and management responsibilities. During his tenure, Rush assumed roles such as Head of Strategy & Planning, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Development, gaining experience across a range of equity and debt assets and across all major markets in the region.
Rush is ULI Global Governing Trustee. He graduated from St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata, India and completed an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, India.
Managing Director
Nuveen Real Estate
Louise is a managing director for Nuveen Real Estate based in Hong Kong and works across the Asia Pacific region, she sits on the Asia Pacific Real Estate Leadership team and is an investment committee member. She is responsible for fund investment strategy and overall performance of assets, including day-to-day operations, acquisition analysis, asset management, client and reporting-related matters. Louise joined the firm in 2017 from Invesco Real Estate having been the fund manager for the Invesco Real Estate Asia Fund since its inception.
Prior to joining Invesco Real Estate, she was a director at Deutsche Bank, RREEF Real Estate Asia Pacific. In her role as head of acquisitions and asset management for Asia Pacific, Louise was responsible for origination, due diligence and monitoring investments across the identified regional markets. Prior to this, she held a number of roles at Investa Property Group, Colonial First State Property and Royal Sun Alliance in Australia and Hong Kong.
Louise graduated is a Bachelor’s of Commerce in Land Economy from University of Western Sydney and a Graduate diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. She serves as a Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), responsible for representing and serving as the voice of the broad and diverse membership in substantive matters facing ULI in the execution of its mission. Louise is also a committee member of LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development) a Nuveen industry affinity organization leading the dialogue on gender diversity.
Ng Chiang Ling
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Office
M&G Real Estate Asia
Chiang Ling is responsible for M&G Real Estate’s Asia business. Based in Singapore, she joined the firm in 2014 as an acquisitions director and took on her current role in 2016.
Chiang Ling’s previous experience includes 15 years with the real estate private equity division of Goldman Sachs. She spearheaded the division’s expansion into China in 2002 and was responsible for investments and coverage across the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and India, through 2012.
Chiang Ling is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a BSE degree in Electrical Engineering. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese.
Justin Wai
Managing Director, Real Estate
Blackstone
Justin Wai is Managing Director of Blackstone’s Real Estate Group based in Hong Kong. Mr. Wai is responsible for sourcing and managing real estate investments in Asia, with a focus on Greater China. Since joining Blackstone in 2007, Mr. Wai has been involved in real estate and corporate transactions totaling more than US$7bn. His experience spans multiple geographies and covers all major asset classes, including office, retail and logistics.
Mr. Wai is Non-Executive Chairman of Tysan Holdings, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In addition, he is a trustee of Northfield Mount Hermon School, a member of the Leadership Council of Blackstone Foundation, the University Council of Cornell University, and the Advisory Board of Hong Kong Government’s Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged.
Mr. Wai graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, where he was a Meinig National Scholar.
