We are pleased to announce the appointment of Denise Tan as the Chair of the Young Leaders Group for North Asia.
“I am very grateful to have been named chairwoman of the executive committee of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group North Asia Chapter. We are so very fortunate to be in Asia, where the modern city is being redefined daily and to be able to participate in the dialogue that is shaping this future. I am very much looking forward to building upon the extraordinary foundation that Brandon Sedloff put in place for all of us. Early in their term, there is already evidence of the solid strides that the Young Leaders’ executive committee is achieving,” says Denise.
Denise also emphasized that the YLG North Asia will continues to focus on continuing education series and high-quality networking for our members. Our mentorship program, which was first launched last year, has increased in size by 20% and is into its second successful year. We hope to implement a second mentorship program, especially for our student members of the local universities in Hong Kong. Knowledge sharing is a cornerstone of our organization, and we are achieving this by engaging with the constituents that influence our cities. I have no doubt that this committee will continue to make strong inroads to increasing our membership, deepening our links with Asia-based developers, and helping further place ULI and its Young Leaders at the heart of the Asian real estate and urban planning landscape and its challenges.
