Hosted by : Edmund Tie & Company
We are pleased to invite you to the second of our Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Insider Series that addresses the challenges and celebrates successes of women in the workplace today. This series gathers prominent female leaders in the real estate industry to discuss prevailing hot topics in the industry and serves as a regular networking platform to connect women professionals in the ULI community.
This instalment features Ong Choon Fah, CEO of Edmund Tie & Company. Choon Fah had many dreams, growing up … of jet-setting in flying cars, to have walking telephones and robots at her fingertips, perhaps from watching too many cartoons. She had many aspirations. She wanted to be a lawyer, a doctor and took up flying lessons. But none of these led to real estate. It was only when she was applying for university that, out of curiosity, she decided to tread on a path that not many women at that time would, and has not looked back since. At this session, Choon Fah will share with us how she managed to trudge through the tough times, being a rose among the thorns in a developing culture. She will also discuss problems that we all face at the workplace today, from technological disruptions to managing millennials.
