We are delighted to give ULI Members priority to attend a training course, specifically tailored to female professionals, on becoming a polished and persuasive panelist. This will be an interactive 3 hour course in Hong Kong on Thursday 19 April 2018, from 4-7pm. If you are interested, please register by Friday, 6 April to secure your space. The course is limited to 12 participants to ensure time for all to practice.
Panel discussions are an increasingly integral part of industry expos and events. They are a highly effective way for professionals to increase both their personal and company brand and profile.
By attending the training course, you will learn about what to expect from panel discussions, how to prepare for them, including delivering core messages, as well as their psychology and on-stage dynamics.
Presented by Nick Fordham of Interactive Voices, a highly experienced coach, the course topics include:
- Having an opinion (and why it matters)
- Answering questions confidently
- Handling difficult questions
- Engaging with other panelists
- Handling moderators
- Building empathy with the moderators and audience
- Demonstrating positive body language
- Using strong meta-language
You will also have a chance to put theory into practice. The course will include interactive exercises and activities. There will also be video footage of panel debates and discussions, as well as video feedback of all participants.
The ULI has kindly provided a WLI Innovation Grant to subsidise the cost of this workshop, in order to support the WLI initiative. The cost to participants is HKD400.
If you are unable to attend this workshop, but would be interested in attending a future workshop with the same content, please let us know and we will consider arranging repeat sessions to meet demand.
This event is by-invitation only. Space is limited to 12 participants and registrations will be required. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
