‘Work-life balance’ is a commonly used phrased that describes a goal that anyone who has ever been employed can relate too. Work life balance is defined as the harmony between different aspects of your life, where benefits gained from each area can support and strengthen the others. Whilst the phrase is simply defined it is a difficult to achieve, particularly when working long hours and prioritising work above other parts of your life has traditionally been promoted as the path to success.

The purpose of this discussion is to explore some of the actions and approaches being taken by companies and building owners /managers to encourage and support work-life balance.
