ULI Singapore is excited to present a discussion on ESG, Climate Risk and Real Estate Investment, featuring perspectives from leading industry players on how climate change is becoming an increasingly important factor in real estate investment decisions.

The programme will centre around a recently-released report produced jointly by ULI and Heitman entitled Climate Risk and Real Estate Investment Decision-Making, which assesses the potential impacts of climate change on the long-term viability of real estate assets, and provides an inside look at how developers and real estate investors are factoring climate risk into their investment decision-making and management processes.

Following a presentation of the report findings, our panel of experts will share their insights and responses. The panel discussion will also explore the importance of responsible investment; how the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into the investment process continues to become increasingly important for institutional investors, both globally and in Asia, and how they make investment decisions which address ESG issues.

Taking a step back, we take a look at the factors driving this shift of responsible investment from being voluntary to being expected, and why leading property owners and developers should care from a cost-benefit standpoint.
