ULI Asia Pacific Themes
ULI has recently unveiled three mission priorities that we will focus on as a global organisation to maximise our impact: decarbonising the real estate sector and accelerating our progress to net zero, increasing housing attainability in communities around the world, and educating the next generation of diverse real estate leaders.
ULI Asia Pacific will be progressing these priorities by harnessing the expertise and knowledge of our members through our programmes and initiatives.
Educating future leaders in real estate leaders is embedded in all of ULI’s programme of work. And through feedback from members, we have identified two further topics of key relevance to the region that align with these goals.
The four themes central to our regional thought leadership are Capital Markets, Technology and Innovation, Decarbonisation and Resilience and Housing.
Capital Markets
Every day, ULI members make decisions on how to utilise capital markets in all areas of land use and real estate. This year-long programme on Capital Markets will engage ULI members and industry professionals at all levels and will add value to their business and the industry. Join key players from the world of real estate capital markets and investing for a series of conversations on current trends and issues that are influencing their decisions.

Technology and Innovation
Innovation and the integration of technology is becoming one of the most important themes for the real estate community. ULI Asia Pacific’s annual programme on Technology and Innovation will elevate discussions on topics such as how we innovate the way we conduct real estate business, what are the most cutting-edge technologies that will enhance user experience and be accretive to the bottom line, and how we use physical spaces in the most innovative way.

Decarbonisation and Resilience
ULI Asia Pacific’s programme on Resilience is designed to share best practices and gather collective thoughts on how to recognise common changes in building climate resilience, decarbonise our built environment and achieving net zero carbon by 2050.

Housing
As the global shortage of affordable housing becomes ever more critical, ULI Asia Pacific’s annual programme on Housing will bring together indispensable conversations from those directly involved in housing, on affordability, funding and delivery, planning, policy and design.

Further to this, Local Councils will identify and establish, along with ULI members, key areas of local interest which are in line with the above regional themes framework.
The ULI Asia Pacific Themes programmes will be delivered through a series of webinars, initiatives, and reports throughout the year. These accumulative findings will be presented at a series of forums during the ULI Asia Pacific Summit in late-August 2022.
