In collaboration with ULI Brisbane, join Museum of Brisbane (MoB) and Urban Art Projects (UAP) for a guided walking tour through one of Brisbane’s most dynamic cultural precincts – Queen’s Wharf. This exclusive event, led by experts from MoB and UAP, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the art commissioning journey, from curatorial masterplanning and artist selection to design integration and fabrication. It's a rare chance to delve into the intersection of art, history, and urban development alongside industry leaders.

Beginning at Lindy Lee’s breathtaking Being Swallowed by the Milky Way, the tour will take you through a rich tapestry of large-scale works by First Nations, Queensland, and international artists, alongside historical buildings and landmarks. Discover the stories behind these creations and see how site-specific artworks are thoughtfully woven into urban landscapes to enrich cultural and historical narratives. The discussion will uncover the strategies used to achieve meaningful creative outcomes that enhance our built environment, featuring pieces by leading Australian artists alongside international artworks.

The walk will conclude with networking drinks on the Skydeck, courtesy of Urbis. Urbis is proud to have played a significant role in the town planning, heritage, archaeology, landscape architecture, economics, and urban design of the Queen’s Wharf precinct.

Don’t miss this chance to experience one of Brisbane’s most exciting new destinations.

Secure your place today and be inspired by the transformative role of art in shaping our cities and communities.
