Younghusband Kensington Tour: Simplifying Decarbonisation Through Adaptive Reuse

Join ULI Melbourne for the third session of the 2025 ULI Global Sustainability Outlook on Resilience, featuring an exclusive tour of Younghusband Kensington—one of Australia’s most ambitious adaptive reuse projects, setting a new benchmark in decarbonisation and sustainable development. This heritage precinct champions circular economy principles, minimizing construction waste by retaining and refurbishing existing structures while sourcing new materials from sustainable sources.

Hear from Woods Bagot (Architect) and Built (Developer) as they share their ESG journey, detailing how the project integrates sustainable design strategies, fosters community engagement, and incorporates outdoor workspaces to enhance well-being.

Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the site firsthand, gaining valuable insights into how adaptive reuse and lowcarbon strategies are shaping the future of urban regeneration.
