The Limited Partnership Fund Ordinance will commence operation on 31 August 2020, following a multi-year commission by the Hong Kong Government to overhaul and frame landmark legislation for the development of a domestic private fund industry in Hong Kong. The Limited Partnership Fund Ordinance introduces sweeping reform that is catered specifically for modern private funds in Hong Kong, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity and credit funds.
