    Hariprasad Hegde

    EDHINA

    Hari comes with 37 years of experience in deep engineering to running business to executing complex infrastructure projects at scale. After 2 decades of an immensely gratifying journey with Wipro in diverse roles, Hari superannuated in 2021. He along with Mrs Anita George and Mr Harsh Singhal are now setting up EDHINA, a Venture Fund that will invest in businesses that are rooted in Sustainability. Built Environment is one of the sectors of serious focus for the fund. In his last role as Senior Vice President he lead ‘Global Operations’ for Wipro spread across ~71 countries. In addition, also held executive responsibility for a US$1Bn construction program to build 8.5 Mn sqft of Office Real Estate. These projects boast of many industry benchmarks in Technology and Sustainability including Energy Efficiency. Prior to this, his intrapreneurial venture was in building and running “Wipro Water”, a brownfield business in high purity water for industries. Hari championed many sustainability initiatives for Wipro and has been a speaker at National and International forums on – Workplace Design, Water, Energy and Cities. He led Wipro’s relief efforts during the pandemic including setting up of a 450 bed COVID dedicated intermediate care hospital in Pune. Hari sits on the Global Board of Directors of IFMA, Executive Board of Indian Green Building Council, Asia Pacific World Regional Board of RICS. He is on the Board of the ‘Bangalore International Centre’ and a Trustee at ‘Wipro Cares’. A Mechanical Engineer by training, curios of different genres of art, Hari loves the mountains and pursues many other deep diverse interests.

    Dinesh Malkani

    Smarten Spaces

    Dinesh Malkani is the Founder and CEO of Smarten Spaces, a company he founded in 2017. Smarten Spaces is now one of the global leaders in the Digital Workplace and Smart Buildings Technology space. He founded the company and has taken it global with customers in over 30 countries with offices all over the US, Australia, Singapore and India. Prior to Smarten Spaces he held many senior executive positions in the corporate world including the President for Cisco India and SAARC. Under his leadership he grew the business to over a Billion dollars. He was also the VP for Cisco APAC region, President for Avaya China, President for Avaya South Korea in his prior roles. He started his career as an engineer and built one of India’s first product – a public voice mail system. He is an industry leader and currently holds key positions like the Sub Committee Chairman for Confederation of Indian Industries for the Software and SaaS business. He is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and regular writes for the Forbes magazine. He was on the Executive Council for Nasscomm. He was also the Chapter Chair for YPO for the Bangalore Chapter in India. He is a BE in Computers and did his EMBA from State University of New York, Buffalo. He has also done his Entrepreneur program from London Business School. He is a supporter of NGO’s and Charities. He is on the advisory Board for Parikrma a social enterprise for underprivileged Children and supports Akshaya Patra extensively to eliminate hunger. He is a keen golfer and loves to travel and explore places around the world.

    Ashish Singh

    Partner, Actis

    Ashish heads the real estate private equity investing for Actis in India. Ashish is responsible for investment and asset management for real estate assets in India for the funds managed by Actis. Ashish is a member of the Actis Asia Real Estate investment committee, head of the Value Creation Group at Actis Real Estate and nominee director on the boards of investee companies of funds managed by Actis. Prior to Actis, Ashish spent around 10 years with Standard Chartered Bank, where he was one of the founding partners of the proprietary real estate private equity business, a member of the investment committee and a nominee director on the board of the investee companies. Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, Ashish was a founding member of Tishman Speyer’s real estate development business in India, leading strategy, acquisitions and office leasing. Ashish has spent over two decades in real estate industry in India in diverse roles including investments, development, leasing and advisory. Prior to this, Ashish spent 6 years in the general management consulting. Ashish is based out of Mumbai and holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from IIT, Delhi.

    Smita Gupta

    Principal, Gensler

    Smita joined Gensler in 1996 and, after leaving to become a Senior Strategic Facilities Planner at Genentech, returned in 2007 to lead Gensler’s efforts in India. She led the Gensler India team to a strength of 125 HC in 2020. Smita is now building a Sciences practice for Gensler in the San Diego, CA office, however, her commitment to the excellence of the built environment in India remains steadfast. She offers a highly valued combination of experience in strategic planning, workplace design and building architecture. A Gensler Principal, Smita holds a Bachelor of Science from Westbrook College and a Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.

    Rohan Sikri

    Senior Partner, The Xander Group, Inc.

    Rohan Sikri is Senior Partner at The Xander Group Inc. In 2005, he co‐founded the firm’s India investment program. Based in Singapore, he is Executive Managing Director, Xander Investment Management, the real estate private equity arm of the group, which currently has over US$ 2.4 billion in assets under management across different investment strategies. Mr. Sikri chairs the investment committees for all Xander fund vehicles and the credit committee for Xander Finance. Earlier in India, from 2005 to 2010, he built and supervised Xander’s US$ 1.5 billion equity investment portfolio across direct acquisitions, development partnerships, and platform joint ventures, across real estate asset classes such as office, retail, hotels, residential and industrial. The portfolio has already seen profitable realizations of more than ~US$ 1.5 billion. In 2010, he co‐founded Xander Finance, the group's credit platform in India, where he serves as Chairman of the board. In 2014, he established the firm’s first Office core plus strategy, which attracted capital largely from pension funds in Europe and the United States ‐ currently with 7 million square feet, and a gross asset value of ~US$ 700 million. In 2019 he formed the firm’s first industrial real estate JV with a large European financial institution; the strategy has rapidly grown to US$ 200 million, with a pan-India portfolio of logistics/ warehousing assets. He is also a board member of Virtuous Retail South Asia Pte. Ltd., a Singapore headquartered integrated retail and lifestyle developer‐owner-operator, set up in 2016 as a US$ 1 billion JV between APG Asset Management and Xander Retail Partners. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Sikri was with CBRE in India, initially as part of the Strategic Consulting Group, and later as the head of the corporate finance practice. Mr. Sikri’s 22 years in the real estate industry, across multiple Asian markets including India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and the Middle East, in different roles, through market cycles, provides him a unique insight into identifying opportunities, market dislocations, and pricing risk. A graduate in Commerce with Honors from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta, he secured an MBA with dual specialization in Finance and Marketing from the International Management Institute. He has played national level squash, been a state‐level swimmer in the 1,500‐meter event and enjoys golf.
