The WLI champions the advancement of women throughout their career in the real estate sector, with the ambition of increasing the number of and visibility of women in leadership positions. With this ambition in mind, the WLI has designed a bespoke programme to support the development of a fully resolved career plan with short- and long-term targets.

The Programme:

You will attend three workshops in person (breakfast), each 90 minutes, one month apart (on the mornings of 21 September, 26 October, and 24 November) The facilitator will walk you through a programme, starting with long term vision to define short- and long-term goals.

During this programme, you will outline your strengths and weaknesses, identify skill and education gaps, map your network, identify possible career directions and chart a course to achieve your career ambitions. Each of the three workshops will step you through this programme, with pre-work required so as the 90 mins is productive and affords opportunity to test your findings with fellow attendees.

The Facilitator

Nina James will facilitate the WLI Career Planning programme. Nina has been an active member and supporter of the ULI Australia, and a vocal champion of the WLI since its inception in Australia. Cost

The cost to attend the programme is $300 (overall programme, $100 each session), which will cover the programme handbook, materials and light breakfast. The programme is limited to 12 attendees, to ensure we create a Chatham House Rules confidentiality agreement.

The Commitment

Each attendee will be invited to contribute to each workshop, by way of testing their own ambitions and gaps, inviting group collaboration in defining solutions and action items. The open discussion forums will encourage attendees to share their experience and offer network connections to bridge any gaps identified. Attendance will require preparation materials for each session, to ensure each 90 mins is used to its full capacity. In registering for the course, you are also agreeing to Chatham House Rules, to respect the confidentiality of your fellow attendees.

Outcomes of this Programme

You will meet 12 other impressive women, who will expand your personal network and actively support your career progressions.

You will develop a comprehensive career plan, charting a course to retirement and ultimately pride in your career achievements.
