    Raoul Villegas

    Raoul Villegas is a Deals and Corporate Finance Managing Director with PwC Philippines. He leads the Deals Strategy; Commercial Due Diligence; and Value Creation practices. He heads engagement teams that collaborate with major private equity and strategic investor clients in their plans for achieving higher growth; raising the profitability of their enterprises; and increasing the value of their decision-making. Raoul is very focused on avoiding cognitive biases and is always thinking about “what’s next” when it comes to industry issues, and solving problems creatively for clients. Before PwC, Raoul was the concurrent Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the House of Investments, and iPeople inc, two PSE-listed, investment holding companies. He is active in the Financial Executives’ Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), the leading organization for CFOs in the country’ and the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), the leading organization for CEO’s in the Philippines. He is also a member of the Guild of Real Estate Entrepreneurs and Professionals (GREENPRO). He received his undergraduate degrees (BS Economics and BA in International Relations) from Lafayette College in Easton, PA. He received his MBA in Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, IL.

    Ariel Shtarkman

    Founder, Orca Capital Ltd

    Ariel Shtarkman is the Founder of Orca Capital, boutique investment practice focused on real estate and real estate technology (proptech). She is also the co-Founder and Managing Director of Atom Assets, a real estate investment platform for family offices. Previously, Ariel was with Citibank Real Estate Structured Finance in Hong Kong, where she structured debt instruments for real estate developers, REITs and private equity funds. Before joining Citibank, she worked in real estate private equity funds sponsored by ING Clarion in New York (covering US) and ING Real Estate Investment Management in Hong Kong (covering Asia). Ariel holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with concentration in Real Estate, and BSc from Tel Aviv University with double major in Computer Science and Business Administration. She serves as Senior Content Advisor for ULI Asia Pacific, is a member of the ULI North Asia Executive Committee, and a founding member of Columbia Business School Alumni Network of Hong Kong. Ariel is fluent in English, Hebrew and Russian, and conversant in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Her other interests include martial arts, travel, integration of technology and real estate and the future of education.

    Maricel Lirio

    President & CEO, Filinvest REIT Corp., Filinvest Land, Inc.

    Brion-Lirio was elected as Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Filinvest REIT Corp. (FILRT) on February 11, 2021. Prior to that, she held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company, Senior Vice President-Offices and Vice President- Project Group Head of FAI. She was also formerly a Senior Assistant Vice President and Marketing Director for Philam Properties Corporation. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Assumption College Makati. She also attended the Business Management Program of Asian Institute of Management and earned units in the Graduate School of Management at the University of San Francisco, California, USA.

    Rick Santos

    Chairman & CEO, Santos Knight Frank

    Rick Santos is the Chairman, CEO and Founder of Santos Knight Frank (an affiliate of Knight Frank, the largest privately owned global real estate consultancy, with more than 500 offices in 60 countries across the globe including a strategically important partnership with Newmark in the United States). Rick was born in the Philippines (his father is from Zamboanga) and raised in San Marino, California, USA. His education covered UC Berkeley, the London School of Economics and Oxford University. A post graduate thesis on the “Spatial Implications of Information Technology on Office Location Theory” gave him his passion for the real estate sector and, in particular, the global impact of the outsourcing revolution. Rick established the CBRE business in Manila in 1994 as the country’s first fully integrated real estate service provider. He served as Managing Director of CBRE Hong Kong, was a member of the CBRE Asia & Asia Pacific Board and the Head of Institutional Investment Properties for Asia. He was the link partner to the emerging market countries of India, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. In 2017, he established a long-term partnership with Knight Frank and rebranded his 1,400-strong organization as “Santos Knight Frank”. The business today consists of 11 specialist teams focusing on: Occupier Services & Commercial Agency; Facilities Management; Property Management; Asset Management; Project Management; Technical Services and Engineering; Residential Sales & Leasing; Investment & Capital Markets; Research & Consultancy; Valuation Services and Group Business Services. Rick and his team were instrumental in the growth of the Business Processing Outsourcing sector and were pioneers in bringing many of the multinational BPO and offshoring companies to the country. Santos Knight Frank is responsible for more than 4 million sqm of office space transactions, including the largest office leasing deal in Philippine real estate history (70,000 sqm), and over 20 million sqm of assets under its property and facilities management teams.     Eric Manuel

    Director, ARCH Capital Management Co Ltd

    With over 15 years of experience in real estate advisory, development, investment, and asset management, spanning both commercial and residential sectors, Eric is leading ARCH Capital’s investment and management efforts in the Philippines. Current responsibilities are principally focused on transaction origination and partner relationship management. Sectors covered include office, residential, logistics, data centers, and co-living. Previously, Eric was Vice President and Head of Real Estate for Primeiro Partners, an investment bank providing strategic and capital advisory services to several real estate developers and financial institutions. He was also Vice President for Daiichi Properties, an award-winning developer in the Philippines. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Binghamton University and a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics.
