Why you can’t afford to miss the social media bandwagon
It’s official, social media is no longer merely the preserve of tech-savvy youngsters, but a growing global network that is predicted to have over 1.4 billion users by the end of 2012. When it comes to social media in the business world recent data showsthat 96% of companies have been increasing their spending on social media in fields from advertising and PR to recruitment and market research but why is this trend towards ‘social’ important to you?
Although it is easy to be skeptical about the need for executives to participate on social media channels a key survey has revealed that the appropriate use of social media by senior management can help develop a company’s brand image, attract investors and shape company values.
Please join us for a brief interactive presentation led by our retained communications agency in APAC, The BlueCurrent Group, in collaboration with its sister agency Fleishman-Hillard, who together will show you why it is important for us in the property industry to participate on social media.
Using examples from the industry and the region they will walk us through how to use channels such as LinkedIn and Twitter (two platforms that we as an organization are already embracing) and explain what you should know whether you intend to become an ‘active contributor’ or a ‘passive observer’.
Whether you are already delegating your firm’s social media efforts to an outside agency, or whether you are already working out how to manage your own personal social identity, we encourage you to join this exclusive session to know more about the changes in the way people are communicating online and so not get left behind.
