Organization to open Singapore office in January 2014
Hong Kong, 9 January 2014 — The Urban Land Institute (ULI), a global non-profit research and education institute dedicated to responsible land use, has announced that Pauline Oh has been selected as Senior Vice President for ULI Asia Pacific. She will be based in Singapore.
Oh, who joined ULI in November 2013, will utilise ULI’s global status and breadth of knowledge to engage existing and potential new members across Asia Pacific; and, with ULI’s regional leadership in Hong Kong, will help shape the plans for the organisation moving forward.
Oh will be the organization’s first fulltime ULI executive to be located in Singapore and her key priorities will also include increasing ULI Singapore’s membership while continuing to serve its existing members in that market and throughout the region. ULI’s Singapore office is scheduled to open in late January 2014.
Oh previously served as General Manager for Terrapinn, where she was a key member of the Asia leadership team responsible for the achievement of strategic, operational and financial objectives for her business unit.
“One of my key objectives is to ensure that our industry’s leaders, throughout the region, recognise the value that ULI Asia Pacific offers, and to encourage their employees and teams to become part of ULI,” Oh said.
“Singapore is a great example of a city that has undergone world class urban planning and development and its future vision for development is very much aligned with ULI,” commented John Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of ULI Asia Pacific. “The opening of our first office in Singapore, and having ULI executive staff in this strategically important market, is a strong reflection of ULI’s intention to continue to invest in expanding and developing its relationship with members not only in Singapore but throughout the APAC region.”
As the Senior Vice President for ULI Asia Pacific, Oh will be responsible for guiding the direction of ULI’s program of work across Asia Pacific, including various real estate trends conferences and topical forums; strengthening ULI’s brand; outreach to new partners; land use and real estate-related research relevant to Asia; and ULI advisory service panels providing assistance to Asian markets.
